The Animal Services Office has been named under different names since 2038 and is currently established as Animal Hospital and District Animal Services Office and has been continuously conducting various programs and activities related to animal development. The details after the establishment of this office are as follows.
1. According to the decision of the government dated 2037/12/24, it has been named as a veterinary hospital.
2. A.W. In 038/039, it was established as a veterinary unit under the District Agriculture Branch of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
3. According to the decision dated 2042/4/3, it has been named as Animal Development and Animal Health Branch under District Panchayat Secretariat.
4. As per the decision dated 2045/5/10, it has been named as District Animal Services Branch.
5. In the year 2049, an animal service program was conducted under the District Development Office in accordance with the objective of providing services to farmers from one roof.
6. According to the organizational reforms of the Ministry of Agriculture dated 2052/3/5, it was established as the District Animal Service Office under the Department of Animal Services, effective from 2052/4/1.
7. It was established as a District Animal Service Office under the Department of Animal Services in accordance with the organizational reform of the Ministry of Livestock Development by the decision of the Government of Nepal dated 2072/08/13.
8. As per the decision of the Government of Karnali Province dated 2076/05/16, with the entry of Nepal into federalism, the former veterinary hospital and animal service specialist center was established as an animal hospital and animal service office from the former veterinary hospital and animal service center in Bimala K.C.

Purpose

Its main objective is to establish the animal husbandry business as a diversification, commercialization, income-generating and respectable profession and to contribute to regional and national production, while other objectives are as follows.

     To increase the production and productivity of livestock and animal products
     By commercializing traditional and subsistence animal husbandry, making Karnali province self-sufficient in production and consumption of animal and poultry products (milk, dairy products, meat, eggs) and eliminating malnutrition and supporting food and nutrition security and making livestock and poultry products targeted.
     To provide services such as technical services, advanced breeds, feed and feed, animal health services, easy loans and animal insurance to livestock producers, communities, cooperative organizations and entrepreneurs and to actively cooperate with the private sector in the work of commercial animal husbandry, resource development and market management.
     To create more employment opportunities by encouraging livestock production, establishment of livestock industry and livestock trade.
     Determining, improving and regulating the quality of materials related to livestock industry business
     From the point of view of economic and public health, increase clean animal products by preventing, controlling and eliminating important animal diseases.
     Identification, conservation, promotion and development of endangered species and breeds of animals.
     To make the field of livestock development based on the latest research, equipped, specialized, result-oriented and competitive.
